Boat Design and Manufacturing
I joined Stabicraft Marine as an Industrial Designer after I proved my abilities in a 3 month internship (International Recreational Compliance Research Project funded by Ministry of Science and Innovation, New Zealand). I played an important role in the companies shift in design thinking and in designing a completely new product portfolio. I have lead my own projects which have earned exceptional results.
New Product Development
My role at Stabicraft included all aspects of New Product Development and conceptualisation of new models. (Product Portfolio Roadmapping with the inclusion of Blue Sky/Horizon 3 Projects. Competitor Analysis and Market Research. Research and Development using ‘Voice of the Customer’ research methods to gain end user insights and user performance and experience issues. Product Requirement Specification and identifying Strategic Product Positioning and Price Points within International Markets. Concept Generation: Sketching, Prototyping and Model Making adopting fast prototyping principles. Championing the development and implementation of consistent Stabicraft DNA throughout the product Portfolio. Bill of Materials Information. Making Strategic Design Decisions to meet Manufacturing Capacity and Throughput. Aluminium Boat Manufacturing Materials and Processes. Maritime Recreational Craft Compliance with CE, ABYC and CPC standards. Graphic Design: Sales/Marketing Support).
